Understanding requirements
A requirement is your formal statement of what telecoms services you need. It captures everything a provider needs to prepare a competitive proposal.
What a requirement describes
Each requirement includes:
- Device type — smartphones, tablets, SIM-only, or mixed
- Volume — number of connections or devices
- Contract type — new connections, renewals, or upgrades
- Network preference — a specific carrier, or open to all
- Urgency — how quickly you need the deal finalised
- Value drivers — what matters most to you: price, data allowance, device choice, or support
How to create a requirement
Using Discover (recommended): The AI-powered discovery flow walks you through your needs and pre-fills your requirement based on your answers. Upload an existing bill to auto-detect your current plan details.
Manually: From your requirements list, select Create requirement and complete the form directly.
Once submitted, your requirement is immediately visible to matched providers and proposals will start arriving.
Requirement statuses
- draft — Requirement created but not yet visible to providers.
- published — Visible on the lead marketplace. Providers can purchase the lead and submit proposals.
- awarded — A proposal has been accepted. The requirement is closed to new bids.
- archived — Closed without an award, or manually archived by the customer.
Tips for better proposals
- Be specific about volume — the more accurate your numbers, the more accurate the pricing you receive
- Set a realistic urgency — very tight deadlines reduce the number of providers who can respond
- Use the notes field to describe any existing contract terms or constraints providers should know about
- Add qualification questions if there are deal-breaker criteria (network coverage, specific devices, terms)
